Shopify just announced that its Shopify Payments service is now available for businesses in Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, and several other European countries.

When it comes to Shopify Payments fees, it's worth noting that Shopify does not add a "Third-party transaction fees if not using Shopify Payments" percentage to orders paid for with Shopify Payments.

Shopify Payments is essentially a card payment processing service. In Estonia, card payments are sometimes referred to as credit card payments. In fact, this payment method can be used with both debit and credit cards.

Standard Visa, Mastercard, American Express and UnionPay card payment service, where the customer enters card details in the online store's checkout view.

The entered card details are of course not stored in the e-store itself, meaning the merchant is not responsible for storing these card details.

These are also card payments, but in this case the customer has their bank card saved in the Apple Pay, Google Pay or Shop Pay service. This significantly speeds up card payments, meaning the customer does not have to enter details manuall

SHOP Pay is Shopify's own fast card payment solution that can be used to pay in all Shopify e-stores that have the Shopify Payments service activated. This payment method is very popular in Canada, the USA, and also for example is Japan.

Klarna - Klarna is popular in Northern European countries and also in the US. Klarna also allows customers to pay in installments, or installment payments.

Bancontact - Customers can only pay with Bancontact if they are located in Belgium and pay in euros. Similar to the bank link payment common in Estonia.

iDEAL - Customers can only pay with iDeal if they are located in the Netherlands and pay in euros. Similar to the bank link payment common in Estonia.

A third-party service provider is still needed to offer bank link payments, which are common in Estonia and our neighboring countries.
