In early 2025, Shopify announced major changes to its partner program, which is now called Shopify Partner Program – Service Track.

We are actually very happy to be a Shopify Select Partner. Even though this is just the first step and there is still room for growth for a long time.

Getting and maintaining Shopify Select Partner status is also not easy. We need to constantly educate our employees with paid Shopify trainings and develop enough new stores. Hopefully, we will meet the Shopify Plus Partner criteria soon as well.

Shopify partner agencies are divided into 5 levels in the new program based on their certified skills, leads, and sales revenue brought to Shopify.

• Select Partner - The company must employs a certain number of employees who have completed Shopify trainings and got certifications. The partner has build at least 1 store using the Shopify Plus Plan in the last 5 years. There are currently 544 such partners worldwide.

• Plus Partner - To achieve this partnership level, a company must have created at least 2 Shopify Plus stores and have a total turnover of more than $2.5M across its Shopify stores. The company must also employ at least three people, with a total of more than 10 certifications between the three or more. There are 476 partners globally who hold Plus Partner status.

• Premier Partner - This status is achieved by companies that have created 4 Shopify Plus stores in the last 2 years, customer turnover exceeds $10M. They must have at least 10 people working, with a total of 30 Shopify certifications. There are currently 14 such partners in the Shopify network.

• Platinum Partner - The highest status is achieved by a company that has created 6 Shopify Plus stores in the last 2 years, customer turnover exceeds $25M. It must have at least 25 people working, with a total of 80 Shopify certifications. There are currently 18 such partners in the Shopify network.
